Getting started

Add your first media

  1. Choose an available build on the download page, then launch AePix.
  2. Use Import to select files or a folder. Start with a small mixed set of photos and videos.
  3. Follow scanning and import progress. Assets appear incrementally; background indexing can continue after thumbnails appear.
  4. Switch the gallery layout and thumbnail size to suit your material. Open an asset to preview it and inspect details.
  5. Add favorites, ratings or color labels, then create an album for your selections.

Keep track of background work

Open the task panel to see processing status. Depending on the task, pause, resume, cancel or retry is available. A thumbnail appearing does not mean the semantic index is ready. If natural-language results seem incomplete, let indexing finish and try again.

Find and reuse

Filename search works without an AI model. Natural-language search uses the local index. Paid plans add reverse image search and OCR. Use combined filters and collections to narrow a large library before reviewing individual files.

Account and credits

Free includes the core local media workflow for up to 5,000 assets. Sign in to refresh your paid plan and credit balance. Cloud image tools require a network connection and sufficient credits. See plans and credits.
